Mine Expl.-proof Ventilation

Fans

The fans are designed for independent ventilation in deep mines. They may be used both for suction and delivery systems with an air pipe system inclination of up to 90 against the horizontal axis.

CERTIFICATION

The products are certified by the Physical Technical Testing Institute (PTTI) in Ostrava-Radvanice, notified body number 1026 in accordance with article 9 of the Council Directive 94/9/EC of March 23, 1994. The production quality system has been assessed according to EN 13980 and the products are certified by the Czech Mining Authority for use in mines in the Czech Republic.

The fans are designed in accordance with the Directive 94/9/EC ATEX and meet requirements set forth by the EN 13 463-1, EN 50 303:2000, EN13 463-1:2009, EN 13463-5:2003, EN 60079-0:2007, EN 60079 1:2009, EN 1710:2005.

NEW FEATURES

During air–drive operation of the combined fan the electric motor does not turn. This eliminates the voltage induction on the electric motor terminals. After the electric fan is switched off the motor is stopped, so generates no voltage, even if the fan wheel is actuated by the airflow in the air pipeline. The fan and connector designs are protected by the utility pattern registration.


VPAK

These fans may switch between the air and electric drives. The combined fan is automatically switched over to the compressed air drive mode in the event of power supply failure. The newly developed electromagnetic valve ensuring this switch-over has been certified separately by the PTTI Ostrava-Radvanice.

In any drive operation mode the fans may suck from environment IM1 (SNM3) during necessary time. If the fan is in the air drive operation mode it may also be placed in this environment, while the fan in the electric drive operation mode shall be placed in an IM2 (SNM2) environment.

VPAV

The air drive fans may be operated as device of group I category M1.


VPAE

For those fans with electric drive is the advantage of the possibility of suction of air mass with high methane content above 1.5%, for the shortest time. But it must be ensured that its surroundings are not an explosive mixture of air mass that content methane of over 1.5 %. In this case, the fan is turned off. In these cases it is necessary to use a ventilator VPAE-B, with the brake.
